Integrative Counselling in Tadley & Online

Grow, heal and thrive with compassionate counselling

Initial Consultation

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel overwhelming, which is we can start with a free 15-20 minute phone call. This isn't a counselling session, but a chance for you to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and for us both to see if we're a good therapeutic fit. It's an opportunity for you to get a sense of who I am and how I might be able to support you on your journey.

My Approach

As an integrative counsellor, I believe that no single approach works for everyone. Integrative counselling means I draw from various therapeutic models to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and preferences.

This flexible approach allows me to adapt our work together as we progress, ensuring you're getting the most effective support. Whether you respond best to cognitive-behavioural techniques, person-centred therapy, or creative approaches, we'll find the right blend that works for you.

Counselling for Children and Young People

Growing up isn't always easy. Children and young people often face issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, family conflicts, or academic pressures. If you're under 18 and looking for support, or if you're a parent seeking help for your child, here's how I work:

For the first session, parents or guardians are welcome to join us. This helps everyone feel comfortable and allows us to discuss how counselling will work. After this, I work directly with the young person, as it's crucial they have their own safe space to express themselves.

For children under 18, I ask that a parent or guardian remains on-site during sessions. This doesn't mean they'll be part of the session, but it provides an added layer of security for the young person.

I offer various ways of working, including traditional talk therapy, creative play in our spacious indoor area, or even walking and talking on the farm for those who prefer movement.

We'll review progress every three sessions, adjusting our approach as needed. Sessions are confidential, but I'll contact the parent or guardian if I have any concerns about safety.

How I Work

• In-Person: Traditional face-to-face sessions in my peaceful countryside practice.

• Telephone: For those who prefer or need to work remotely, I offer telephone counselling sessions.

• Online: Video sessions are available for clients who find this more convenient or are unable to attend in person. This way, I can work with you from anywhere in the UK.

Outdoor Counselling

Embracing the healing power of nature, I offer outdoor counselling sessions in the beautiful countryside surrounding my practice. This unique approach can be particularly beneficial for those who feel confined by traditional indoor settings or simply have a deep connection with the natural world.

Outdoor counselling can be especially effective for reducing anxiety, improving mood, and enhancing overall well-being. The natural environment often helps clients feel more relaxed and open, leading to deeper insights and more productive sessions.

I offer two main options for outdoor therapy:

• Seated outdoor sessions: We can sit in a quiet, private area of the farm, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. This can help create a sense of calm, allowing thoughts and feelings to flow more freely.

• Walk and talk therapy: For those who find movement helpful in processing emotions or ideas, we can engage in walking sessions. As we stroll through the peaceful countryside, you may find it easier to express yourself and work through challenging topics.

Remember, the most important thing is finding an approach that feels right for you. We can always adjust our method as we work together to ensure you're getting the support you need.
